deer + snow = love (part 2)

I just leave these here:

Even though it might look like I did, I didn't feed them. I just poked my finger in. Other people did, even though it's forbidden.

"American Gods" by Neil Gaiman

American GodsAmerican Gods by Neil Gaiman

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love! I expect from Neil's books to be the following (because he spoilt me since the first one I read): magical, fun, entertaining, captivating, a warm comfy blanket, happiness, a smart narrator and story and the hope that it'll never end. I got it again with this one.

I always wonder whether I could rate them and usually "The Graveyard Book" ends on position one but "Neverwhere" follows up so closely that it is almost up there on the same spot and then I'd rate them all on spot 3.

Anyway: much much love! More please.

Christmas in photographs

A quick update in photographs from yesterday and today. We are having a really good time, I hope so do you.

The snow had thawed away and yesterday it started snowing again. we all thought it was too warm to stay.

"Can we have presents now?" *big eyes*

"There are presents!!" *squeezes under tree*

"Mine!"

I unwrap my next Viggo book "Wintersongs" and am happy.

This I got from my friend Melanie and it is already stuffed in "The Road".

Obviously, we cannot take family portraits.

Now, we wake up this morning. And look, it has snowed some more...

My aunt, uncle and little cousins came by and of course, we had to take the sledge out for a ride.

and because it's pretty to look at:

What have you been doing?

old photoshoot -1

to while away the days til Christmas, I played with older photoshoots. I was in need to play with textures. I love textures. And while I like my shots to be as natural as possible, sometimes, this has to be done :-)

Um die Zeit bis Weihnachten zu vertreiben, hab ich alte Fotos rausgekramt um sie mit Textures zu versehen. Ich liebe Textures, auch wenn ich immer die Natürlichkeit in meinen Portraits anstrebe.

Model: the lovely Manu.

today it kinda snowed-- a lot

This is the amount of snow since 1030 this morning. It was supposed to thaw (and it has rained the whole night so the snow was really gone). Uhm...

but it's pretty to look at. However, as we took a walk in the forest, branches were breaking and it was a tiny bit dangerous *lol*

today's photoshoot

As I was his age, over a decade ago, boys looked like complete idiots and didn't know how to dress. I think this is unfair because they grew into men who still can't dress. *lol*

Als ich in seinem Alter war, so vor 13 Jahren, konnten sich die Jungs nicht gescheit anziehen und sahen aus wie ... und jetzt sind sie erwachsen und nicht viel hat sich geändert. Unfair.

Hasselblad: winter

I took out my beloved Hasselblad for a walk in the snow. I like to get in close with her, find the structures and details. Because I think that works best.

Ich bin mit meiner geliebten Hasselblad im Schnee unterwegs gewesen. ich liebe es ganz nah ranzugehen an die Objekte, Strukturen zu finden, Leerstelen. Ich denke, das liegt ihr besonders.

I like those two as well, but the first one works best in my opinion.

Ich mag die beiden unteren Shots auch, aber irgendwie gefällt mir das erste Fotos am Besten.
