I couldn't resist. Neither the pants because they were only 8 Euro and also not the pose. I bought a hat as well but that one was only 2 Euro and is nothing special. I have a big love for hats though. I also love those shoes, which I have bought approximately 15 years ago.

Wow, that was a lot of love in one post. *lol*

wedding location #2

The next wedding I'm booked for, holds the celebrations a way off in the Odenwald. Since I haven't been there (not in that part anyways) before, I went today. The weather was perfect (rainy and autumn-y) and this is how to get there in pictures.

There is is. Sadly we couldn't stop and have a closer look since it wasn't open. But now I know how to get there. It is really beautiful and truly, as advertised, at the end of the world.

Went to Weinheim for a bit after that. I really like Weinheim.

weclome to the family

Today my Diana Mini arrived. It is the cutest thing ever and I cannot wait to try it out. Finally I own a camera which I can really carry with me every day.

I really love the way the box is designed. And the included book is gorgeous. Lomography I love you. *nods*

Life-related things:

This is where I will shoot the next wedding. The Wasserturm in Mannheim. I love this spot.

Stuttgart, yesterday. A work related trip.

beautiful wedding

I was hired to be the wedding photographer of this wonderful couple. The ceremony was beautiful, the bride was beaming with joy and the groom obviously very proud.

These are the times when I love my job the most.

Liebe Frau Renner,

Impossible film? I think not. But not an easy one.

I bought the PX Silver Shade 600 /First Flush film for my Polaroid. It is highly sensitive to humidity and temperature. So the first photo (the dark red is a sign that it was too hot that day) is still changing after one week.

Last night I thought, that the temperature was okay enough. It was 9.30 pm and yet, since the pics are in the reds, it must have been too hot still.

This morning, in bright sunshine and I think equally hot , I took this in the garden. I wonder how they'll change in the course of the next days.

I think, the film needs a lot of experimenting on my side. But it is truly fascinating. I love Polaroid. And one day I will know how to get the photos I want.

cute puppy is still cute

The little bugger has finally found a really good home. And has a name. Tony. I think he'll be happy there, and I also think he is the devil. But so cute. Try to say no.

Apart from that, I got my 30 Seconds to Mars tickets in the mail. I'm really already excited even though the concert is in December.

So, what are you looking forward to?

defying the heat wave

Yesterday I finally got my copy of Squared and it looks great, if I may say so myself. The quality is fantastic and I really love the size of it. It just feels right.

Today I saw the fantastic Mr.Nobody. That movie is intelligent, beautiful, with wonderful visuals and inspiring. It touches on a lot of subjects of science, philosophy, love and science-fiction. I love it. Jared Leto is fantastic as was to be expected. So if you have a chance to see it, you really should.

lovely things: minigolf, facial masks and book earrings

I bought these earrings today. They are books and they actually open. In theory one could put in a tiny photo. I absolutely adore them.

Awkward self-portrait. *g* But facial masks are the love!

Mom and I went playing mini golf  yesterday. I haven't done that in years and we had lots of fun. It's the little things that matter.

I'd also like to shout out a big hello to my new readers. I hope you enjoy your stay. I'm glad you're here.

Review: Troilus & Cressida by William Shakespeare

Troilus and Cressida Troilus and Cressida by William Shakespeare

My rating: 2 of 5 stars
So, how do I put this....

It's not going to be my favorite play. I kept wondering why it is called Troilus and Cressida when the two of them don't really show up that much... I felt it was a bit.. unfocused? In comparison with other plays it lacked something, some deeper layer (or maybe that is so deep I didn#t find it). Mh... I was expecting more.

the missing photos part 2

I had the film I have been shooting the last days developed. I have only about 3 expired films left, so I will spare them for autumn or winter or something.

The above photo is brought to you by the immense heat. The cats won't move a muscle.

In all fairness, neither do I.

But I went out and about as it wasn't as hot as this week. I went for walks, met friends and tried to dodge soccer fanatics (that is not my car btw!).

The window I look out of during breakfast, my pov.

And Wesley, backlit.

Isn't film photography fantastic?

And because it is, I ordered a Diana Mini. Now my Diana won't be out as often (because the Diana Mini also shoots the square format), but that's okay. I still love her.

Now I'll turn off the laptop and dig out a book to read.
